WoW scared of WAR?
I have been trying to talk a few of my mates who play wow into looking at WAR. However, before they even go and have a look what it's about they just dissmiss it, saying there is no chance it can be as good as wow. I think many wow players are just scared of losing of their player base to WAR, even though i thin both games are great and i am sure both will continue to last, Any thoughts?

Maybe. But tbh, i don't think that will make the average player scared if WoW loose players. I do not doubt, however, that it WILL loose players when WAR come

I think that a lot of WoW players have it into their minds that WoW is the be-all-end-all of MMO's, and always will be. If you actually go onto WoW and ask someone about WAR they will say "Nah, I'm playing WoW forever". I don't think it's fear of losing their playerbase, I think it's just blind WoW devotion tbh. :P I don't think WAR is gonna 'kill' WoW, but I think that it could definately put a dent in it. The MMO race this year, I think, is gonna be between WAR and AoC. Hopefully, the Wrath of the Lich King expansion won't cause too much bother. But still, Khorne help whatever MMO releases a game in the same 90day period as WotLC. xD

Mali, you're also forgetting GW2 thats due this year i believe. Tbh, WoW is just full of little 8 year olds that think they're hard because they have too much free time and spend it all on WoW. It's why i play GW not WoW as its to do with skill not free time. I'm just glad that I realised that WAR is coming out after i finish my GCSE's (i.e. in my 12 week holiday). Hopefully, I'll be on loads in the first few months. Anyway, I think Blizzard undoubtedly are a little concerned about WAR but i doubt the actual players are.
