Where to play.
Just a quick question and headsup... I don't know how many of this guild will be euro or US players, but how will this be done? Will the euro guys form 1 guild on euro, and US on their, or is the plan to put it together and play on the same server, regardless of where people live? Yours, Baldy

Was wondering the same thing tbh, seeing as me bald and alot of us others are located in Europe.

It's probably a good thing to know where people will be playing. Personally, I'll play anywhere even if I am in Australia, since lag isn't much of an issue - I'll get only a little less, sometimes more, lag on European servers. So pretty much go anywhere, you'll always have an Igor following you.

As of now, the plan is to join a US server. While we could separate the US and EU people, I don't think our guild is large enough for it. This would also prevent many of us from playing together. My sources tell me that it shouldn't be an issue for EU players. If it IS an issue, I will try to see if something can be worked out.

maybe we should find out where the majority of our players are going to come from Europe or US that way we will be able to support the masses. alternatively there way be certain names for each server (like Lord of the rings online) in which case we could ask each player to join that server

US server would be the best bet, everyone on the northamerica fuction durring the day while the Euopeans spead the taint at night

US server would be the best bet, everyone on the northamerica fuction durring the day while the Euopeans spead the taint at night Indeed, after talking to quite a few folks with experience, I came to the conclusion that US -> EU servers are more difficult than EU -> US servers. There tend to be more EU folks found in US servers anyway, and that the time difference benefits EU players over US ones. Thus the decision to hold the guild on a US server.

Also it should be cheaper if we are on a US server as I think you need to buy a US copy of the game and then I think we pay are Monthly amount to the US side of the game which means for me it will be 1/2 price due to the weakness of the $.

East coast ftw.

guys.. founds this sad news in the Grap Bag... Q: Will Americans and Europeans be on the same servers? A: No, our partner GOA is handling all European distribution and all the European servers. They're also handling the translation issues for the German, Italian, Spanish, and French players. We are working much, much closer with GOA than we did on Camelot. The experience of the typical GOA player, and that of the typical player in North America, should be exactly the same with all content being released simultaneously.

DaemonclawII- 07-27-2007

Just requires an NA copy of the game instead of a EU. From what I've heard from people, GOA sucks...a lot.

Myself it would be a problem to play on a US Server. But the situation may get rectified. But I doubt it. If it is held on a US I would be dissapoint'd but if it is what is best for the guild. I would not hold a grudge.

Ezevian Neverwind- 09-03-2007

Best bet is to go with wherever the majority of members are from however sadly I will not be able to play on the US servers due to having to acquire a US game and having to pay in USD which gets annoying without pay pal. so if it comes to it I think we should try and up the numbers in between now and the release and make 2 separate divisions of the guild one on EU one on US
