WHA Community Spotlight
When I applied Invicto Incarnate for a Community Spotlight over at Warhammer Alliance, I really didn't think we'd make it in. For all the other guilds that apply, I wasn't sure we'd even be looked at. But after recieving an email on monday, from the WHA Content Manager (Kudos), I was genuinely surprised. After sending off the interview, I recieved a PM from Kudos saying that we're scheduled to go up on the front page on monday the 18th of February. This is a massive boon for Invicto Incarnate, as hundreds of people frequent that site every day. We'll be the first thing they see! WHA is one of the main WAR fansites and is the one that the Developers of the game frequent most. It boasts over 19,000 users. When the Spotlight goes up, I'll be making a new recruitment thread on WHA. A much more improved one that will bring in plenty of users. Rejoice in the coming Oblivion.

Q: Tell us a little about Invicto Incarnate. What prompted you to found the guild, and how has it grown since? Malifact: Invicto has been around since early '06. We were originally a Warhammer: Mark of Chaos guild, being the first Chaos only guild and also the largest of all the fledgeling MoC guilds. We are an RP guild looking to cover all aspects of gameplay. We're all about the fun. Guild members are encouraged to put forth their own ideas in ways to better the guild and imrove on what we already have. Thanks to the generousity of one our our members, we have access to a Vent server too. Q: How did you decide on your faction, if you have done so? Malifact: The faction we decided on was pretty much a no brainer. We started out as a Chaos guild for MoC and so when we moved on to WAR we chose Destruction. We're open to all the Destruction races, so you Druchii and Greenskins can hop on board too! Q: What sort of ranking system do you have within your guild? Malifact: At the moment our ranking system is subject to change, but this is the basic system we are going with: A Racial Rank system. Basically the 'masses' are divided into Chaos, Greenskins and Dark Elves. Each race is led by an Officer, and these officers make up what we call our "Council of Dischord". This system is simple and because the vast majority of members are equal in power this prevents power being abused and squabbles breaking out. Q: Can you discuss your application process? Malifact: We have recently turned up the heat when it comes to applications. We have a basic template of questions for you to follow, you can add extra ones if you like. Just give us a good impression of you. Show us that you have put some effort into your application and why we would want someone like you in our guild. Upon applying, you will be placed on a trial period so the Officers can evaluate you and see what you're made of. If you pop on Vent and have a good banter with the rest of the guild then we'll come up with a decision. Q: No doubt the qualities you value in applicants also reflect the qualities of the guild as a whole. What are they? Malifact: A good sense of humour is a must for this guild. Take a trip to our Vent and you'll see what I mean. We value dedication and an interest in furthering the guild as a whole. Q: How does it feel to be in the guild, and how do you function as a community? Malifact: Invicto Incarnate is by far the best guild I have ever been in and it feels great to take up the mantle of 'Sol Invictus'. A lot of us are members of the old core of and so there is a strong sense of camaraderie among us because we have known each other for years. Our new members have just fitted right in too and I'm proud to say they just feel right at home with us. Q: As a guild, do you have any plans to contribute to the community, and if so please describe them. Malifact: With all the talent in our guild I'm sure that there will be a number of our members churning out UI mods and whatnot. Q: What can we expect of Invicto Incarnate upon release of WAR? Malifact: You can expect us to be right in there. We will dive headfirst into all that the game has to offer, whether it's RvR combat or PvE and public questing. Q: What's your stance on "builds"? Do you require your members to conform to certain rules when choosing their characters' abilities? Malifact: We don't believe in telling our members how and what to play. It's completely your choice how you want to play your class. Q: What's your stance on "Gold Farmers" who proceed to sell their in-game gold onto players for real cash? Malifact: We do not tolerate this sort of thing. It's just cheating, and you don't cheat on MMO's! Q: Whats your stance on "Corpse camping", "Ganking", and "Graveyard camping"? Malifact: Put it this way: I don't care much for it. Q: Before we conclude, I notice you have members already in beta; you must be excited for them! Malifact: Green with envy more like! But yes, I'm really chuffed that we've got a Beta tester in our guild. I'm sure that once the Beta key has been prised from his cold, dead hands...ummm...nevermind. Warrior Nation Asks: Is your guild going to remain a standalone guild, or do you have plans to form alliances with other guilds sharing the same goals? Malifact: We certainly have an interest in forming alliances with likeminded guilds for RPing and gaming. Very nice mate! Absolutely loved it. I only saw it a few minutes ago but I felt it was very well done. Hope this increases our forum activity considerably. The more the merrier. And hopefully more to duel too.
