Voice Actors
A point that has been raised on a few forums I have seen. What sort of accents do you want to see in WAR, and for what races?

Cockney for Orc and Goblins Scottish/Irish for Dwarves Londoner for Elves German on Humans Scandinavian for Chaos.

I agree Daris , is really hope they let us scandinavian brutes do the chaos :twisted:

they should do since based on imagery and location Norsca is more of less Scandanavia

What about non-playable races that show up as NPC's?

No way Londoner for Elves, theyve gotta have a Cambridge/oxford style accent Methink the orcs should have a liverpudlian accent (seein as they nick everything :P)

scousers are bad but not likeOrcs so Jordy/Cockney it is. and we don't exactly know what the unplayable races are yet...or rather which ones will feature.

So far I have seen Skaven,Vampire counts,tombkings and woodelfs

choas should sound like chaos in Mark of Chaos

I'm seriously wondering if we'll ever see Skaven as a playable race for this. I think that'd be sweet, but I just love Skaven. As for accents, I reckon that Orcs will have an orcish accent. SO WOT DA YA FINK YOU'S LOOKIN' AT!?

This is nitpicking, but I don't think the World's Edge Dwarfs are supposed to have Scottish/Irish accents. Those would be the Norscan Dwarfs. I'm pretty sure the World's Edge Stunties have Yorkshire accents. Paul Barnett even likened them to Yorkshiremen in the mines and all that. But I may be wrong. Orcs: Cockney. It can't be anything else. :D Elves: I'd agree with Cambridge/Oxford accent. It suits them perfectly. Chaos: I'm really not sure about this one. Maybe a Norwegian accent. To be honest, I'm not majorly bothered about the accents. I think it's more important that they get the accent done well. If they do decide to go for steriotypical Scottish Dwarfs, then they'd better get a Scottish voice actor. There's nothing worse than a fake accent. Remember Love Fist from GTA:Vice City? Grrrrrrrrrrrr... :evil:

Well I cna tell you that there arn't many mines open in yorkshire anymore, and the accent doesn't quite have the same feel as Scottish which is quite low in tone and gruff.

May I point out that being Scandinavian - as are a few others here - I do NOT agree with giving Chaos a Northern accent. Honestly. I don't want to be rude to.... myself? But anyway, Scandinavian accents are simply horrendous :? Now, imagine a Frenchman speaking English; now ten times worse. That's us. In summary: no. Then again, I don't really have a better solution either, but I think they should simply have an American accent. And by that I don't mean a red-neck accent (HAAHAHAA!*), but the one you hear in films... Except... lower, and rougher... and louder. _____ *HAHA! Imagine a Chaos Warrior running at you yelling, "'Ey! What the hell are you looking at, you homosexual little boy!? *Ptooi, TING* (no offense to the mentioned sexual orientation).

I think they should use the dark tongue* :twisted: *Or whatever it's called
