Standard Bearer of Invicto Incarnate
As mentioned in the living guild podcast and everywhere else the devs talk about guilds, we will be able to carry our guild banner into combat. My suggestion is that we have someone in the guild that has to responsibility of taking our banner to the front lines (and hitting people with it of course :P). So how shall we decide this if we do decide on who takes the role?

Well I reckon we put it into a hat or we have a specific person, and if I recall correctly we are allowed a maximum of three banners per guild, one per race I'm reckoning so a specific banner-bearer for each race :D (If this makes no sense let me know, I'm far too tired to notice atm.

well Mali suggested we have it on a roster or something so we could have a designated set of people that take it in turns or... (my idea here :P) we have it as a reward for guildy of the month or something

you can! you flourish and hit everyone away, you can defend a bridge with a standard bearer lol

Just as a note to you guys, I believe the Standard Bearer can plant said standard in the ground. So the Standard Bearer isn't just hanging in the back doing nothing the whole time.

I think we should take turns to carry the banner, but we have should someone to take care of organising the morale abilities and other stuff regarding the banner, so the ideas we get regarding morale abilities and such don't get too confused and messed up.You can't expect one guy to always carry the banner and stand back, while we're assaulting a highelf keep or sacking altdorf etc. Of course the banner will sometimes be planted, but then the banner carrier would have to watch that nobody tries to steal the banner. I think it's best if everybody have some experience with the banner though, so people don't stand watching and waiting for the banner carrier if the situation gets out of hand and the banner is threatened. The responsibility for the banner should be on one guy in a battle and another guy in another battle and so on. It just wouldn't make sense if people took turn to carry the banner during battle, cause then we would be in need of a healer, tank or so.
