Revised Guild Ranking System
I have given this quite a lot of thought and it makes good sense to me. So I want your opinions to see if you guys like this. First I'll explain why I am thinking about a different ranking sytem. The Cohort System, I think, is overcomplicated. Siphoning off members into groups of six is hell to keep track of. The reason for doing the Cohort system was for people to group wih their Cohort, thus six. But who is actually going to stick to it? People will get pissed off if they have to stick to their cohorts, and if you say "Just don't stick to it then. Big deal!" then what's the point in having them? SO Here is what I and a few other people that I have talked to think isn't a bad idea: RACIAL RANKING This would be infinitely easier. Divide the guild into three simple groups: Chaos, Greenskins and Dark Elves. This is great RP material too. Perhaps the Greenskin section is an Orcish Tribe that has joined up for some good fighting? Perhaps the Dark Elf section is a Cabal of warriors who have aligned themselves with Invicto to assure they can please the Lord of Murder? Perhaps the Chaos Section is the original Invicto Incarnate, the old core? This would attract more RPers who want to retain racial pride too. Each 'Tier' could have it's own rich backstory too. I'll even design logos too. In fact I sketched a Greenskin banner/icon too.
This is just something very rough that I did in my English class while the teacher was droning on about some rubbish, so it's not meant to be any mystical piece of uber concept art. It was an absent minded thing that turned out OK-ish. My point is that each section would have it's own identity and their own commanding officer. In an RP sense, the Greenskins would have their own Warboss etc. These leaders would form the Council of Dischord which would answer directly to the second in command and myself.
