Ragnarok Sverdndottr
Name : Ragnarok Sverdndottr Gender : Male Age : 97 Race & Class : Human Chosen of Tzeentch Height : 8' 1" Features : Penetrating ice blue eyes, runes of chaos inscribed on bare flesh and armour. Weapons : Depending on his mood, either a huge sword taken from his old master or an axe which he located in a quest to gain the favour of Tzeentch. The sword is an ancient daemon sword gifted to his master after many successful raids on Kislev, parts of the Empire and Brettonia. The daemon in the sword is the bound essence of Vill'ngva, a Bloodthirster defeated in one of the many battles between the Blood God and The Changer Of Ways. His axe is a recent acquisition, found in an ancient temple to Chaos Undivided deep in the wilds of Albion. It is imbued with the energies of Chaos and when he found the axe he was rewarded with an ancient suit of Chaos Armour. Equipment : A complete suit of Ancient Chaos Armour inscribed with runes of Chaos. The helmet covers his entire head apart from his ice blue eyes which burn in its depths. The rest of his armour is adorned with blasphemous runes that burn the eyes and souls of those unchosen who gaze upon them. Trophies taken from great enemies adorn his armour, such as the haft of a warrior priest's hammer defeated in one of the raids undertaken by his previous master. Khorne Daemon Sword, Chaos axe and Chaos steed. History : When Ragnarok was about 20 years of age his village in Norsca was attacked by a warband led by a powerful Chosen of Chaos. Unable to defend themselves the villagers fled and were caught and killed. Ragnarok led what little defence there was and was eventually cornered by marauders, after killing many of them, the marauders were held back and the Chosen brought his prisoners to where they could be seen by Ragnarok. He was forced to watch on as what was left of the villagers were ritually sacrificed to Tzeentch. Remarkably instead of the Chosen swamping him with yet more marauders he offered Ragnarok a choice, being burned alive in the village, or join the warband and become his lieutenant. Ragnarok chose to join the warband as desire for revenge seethed in him and he decided to wait until his new master let his guard down and kill him. For the next 30 years Ragnarok followed his master as he launched raid after raid on isolated villages and towns all the way from Brettonia up to Kislev. During this time Ragnarok developed a penchant for brilliant victories, that which looked impossible to others, Ragnarok managed to find a way to victory. For his 'loyalty' to his master he was rewarded with armour and by gifts from his patron God. Eventually his master believing that Ragnarok had forgotten his desire for vengeance let his guard down. It was after a particularly succesfful raid on a temple to Sigmar in Kislev that Ragnarok struck. Finding his master celebrating with the soldiers, Ragnarok took up his master's sword from his master's tent, taking the Daemon Sword he strode up to his master and smoothly beheaded him, his 30 year quest for vengeance complete at last. The warband seeing their master defeated swore loyalty to Ragnarok and named him Sverdndottr or Firesword. For his victory he was granted greater abilities by his God and he was promised more if he found an ancient Chaos temple located in a mysterious land. For the next 20 years he searched for this temple travelling around the oceans in the north and through the lands east of the Empire. Eventually he found a derelict temple in the heart of Albion and marched in. After Meditating for hours in the heart of the temple Ragnarok received visions from the Gods. Directing the remnants of his warband to certain locations he started the ritual. The marauders were quickly slain by Ragnarok and their blood streamed into channels hollowed into the floor. After hours of chanting, secret doors in the wall opened and Ragnarok walked through to find the arms and armour of an ancient Chaos Champion. Donning the armour, Ragnarok received that which he was promised from his God and left the temple with newfound power. After returning to Norsca he started hearing rumours of The Raven Host and swiftly pledged his allegiance the the group of warriors he found most worthy. The Invicto Incarnate.
